WKC NEWS UPDATE

TANGKA RETIRES!

Karen Krause of Petlicious presents "Tangka" with a piece of her retirement "cake" as Deputy Sheriff Brad Stenulson and WKC member Sandy Patterson look on.

Canine Officer Belgian Malinois "Tangka" and her handler Deputy Sheriff Brad Stenulson of the Waukesha County Sheriff's K-9 Unit were honored at our Saturday show. "Tangka" is now retired. Born and trained in The Netherlands, Tangka was the gift of the Waukesha Kennel Club to the Sheriff's K-9 Unit.

Our Summer Shows are now history. Photos of the shows' top winners can be found on 2010 Sat Show and 2010 Sun Show. For the first time we have pictured the winner of Saturday's Junior Showmanship class (in an entry of 44 Juniors), Cameron Henson, a Jr. Member of Waukesha KC.

Conformation Training Classes start Wednesday, September 1. There have been some changes made to our Conformation Training Classes. Go to the Classes page to view the details.

The Waukesha Kennel Club, Inc. is located in southeastern Wisconsin, west of Milwaukee. We hold the largest dog show in Wisconsin, both in size of entry and size of the show site.

The club is well known in the area for conformation training classes and a Breeds & Services Directory that is available with a toll-free 24-hour answering service. We also take pride in our generosity, as in it's 40+ years of existence, the Waukesha Kennel Club, Inc. has donated thousands of dollars to aid various dog-related organizations.

The complete Breeds & Services Directory, which is printed yearly and distributed in late July, is divided up onto the following pages: Directory Info (Information), Breeds Directory (List of Breeders), Services (Grooming, Boarding Kennels, Pet Supplies, Veterinary Service, Pet Travel Agency), Obedience Training (located on the bottom of the Classes page) and Breed Rescue.
